The Circuit Protection, and Controls (CPC) Division at Eaton Electrical reflects a long tradition of creating solutions that enhance electrical safety, reliability, code compliance and efficient power distribution in alternative energy, commercial, industrial, and mining operations. These include circuit breakers, vacuum interrupters, fuses, and fuse holders.

We are looking to hire a Product Manager to grow the Industrial Automation, pushbutton, indication, electronic components, and switches portfolio within the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) market. 

This is a great opportunity for a sales or product engineer looking to harness their technical knowledge in Industrial Automation to manage a portfolio. 

Key Duties 

  • Manage defined product lines to assist sales in achieving profit plan sales, price, profitability and growth objectives
  • Develop strategies to gain entry into new markets, and to grow market share in existing markets including customer value propositions.
  • Train the sales team(s) to select and offer the correct products for various applications.
  • Provide technical support to the sales teams and customers. 
  • Forecast and control inventory to ensure there is satisfactory stock to satisfy sales demand whilst keeping stock turns to plan.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotions for the product portfolio.
  • Produce and maintain price lists and marketing material.
  • Assist sales in tender responses.
  • Conduct competitor intelligence including market share analysis and reporting
  • Ensure our products are aligned to AS/NZS and IEC Compliance 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 3 years of technical experience within Electrical Product Management or Sales Engineering preferably in industrial control products. 
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Automation design principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and design software experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a trade qualification as an electrician would be highly regarded.
