Job Title: Product Manager - Mechatronics (£45k pa).

Department: Engineering

Date: May ‘24

Annual Salary: Starting at £45,000 (negotiable).

Responsible to: Chief Technical Officer

Responsible for: As directed by your line manager you will deliver processes to produce Enturi products.

Job Purpose

Work with the Enturi New Product Innovation team to develop novel processes to support efficient and effective manufacturing and delivery of new product ideas. The role is responsible for identifying and addressing risk in early-stage projects ensuring excellence in design for assembly, specification of equipment, and processes enabling the design and delivery of new Enturi products.

Qualifications & Experience

· Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

· Significant experience working as a Mechatronics Engineering Supervisor (EF1) or Manager.

· Experience in renewables/sustainability/off-grid energy preferred.

Main Activities and Responsibilities

· You will be responsible for identifying and addressing risk in early-stage projects ensuring excellence in design for assembly, specification of equipment, and processes enabling the design of new Enturi products.

· You will Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team and be responsible for bringing a product from design to delivery.

· Ensure manufacturing and assembly requirements are built into produce design phases to reduce costs, improve quality and shorten production time.

· Work closely with Research, Design, Development, Testing, Procurement, Quality and Operations colleagues to enable design and reduce risk in key technologies and assemblies.

· Understand the intricacies of the design and develop solutions that meet key KPIs, including Cost, Technical Solution, and People Development.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to deliver optimal solutions in the prescribed time frame.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Lead upstream development of projects.

· Have technical responsibility for product delivery. There could be at any one time multiple projects running concurrently.

· Track the development of projects to prioritise business needs, whilst managing stakeholders.

· Review project activities and maturity with the project manager and design engineers to get a consensus on risk and progress for milestone reviews.

· Take an active role in ensuring that all engineering problems are resolved thoroughly and validated through appropriate test methods, Proof of principles and Design of Experiments.

· You will be required to develop the processes as well as the equipment specs needed to assemble, test, and deliver our products.

· Establish a working rapport with teams outside the Engineering Team that is essential to New Product Innovation and development.

· Use good engineering practice and discipline to deliver robust solutions in agreed time frames. Ensure up-to-date information for current production.

· Own and contribute to team and department-level initiatives and change projects.

· Challenge and develop Enturi engineering practices to continuously improve technologies, design, and product quality.

· Highlight risk to product delivery and find mitigations.
