THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a driven and solutions-focused Senior Production Engineer / Alternate UndergroundMining Manager who’s looking for their next challenge and can see themselves furthering their career with a young company that’s on the move.
Based at our Beta Hunt Operations and reporting to the Underground Manager you will assist in achieving mine production and planning targets, improving, and developing systems and processes to cater for our current needs and preparing for an exciting future.

- Lead operations and technical teams to comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements including liaising with regulators and stakeholders for timely approval of projects, licenses, and plans
- Active involvement and management of all mining contractors in relation to contract management ensuring obligations are met
- Monitor and approve all budgeted expenditures, both operating and capital costs
- Manage and ensure accurate record and information systems for mining data is maintained and audited to a high standard
- Understand and implement forward planning for underground operations and optimise resource life and utilisation including control of input production costs to optimise cost per tonne
- Responsible for implementing and managing reporting (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) on mining activities as required
- Prepare and provide presentations to executive management in respect of mining related activities
- Cover for the role of Underground Manager in their absence and assume all statutory responsibilities that come with the position
ABOUT YOU
- “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Recognised tertiary degree in Mine Engineering
- First Class WA Mine Manager’s certificate of competency
- Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations
- Demonstrated experience working at a Senior Level with underground operational mining experience
- Demonstrated understanding of mine planning
- High level of long hole and open stope experience
- Proficient use and application of MSOffice suite, and relevant mining software including Deswik or similar
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
- Excellent communication skills
