As a Product Manager - Merchandise, you will report to ANZ Portfolio Manager based in Clayton, VIC. You will lead the accessory category strategy in Company Owned Stores (COS). This will include development, commercialization, launch of new products, and optimisation of the existing range. You will manage the total product life cycle of paint accessories in Australia following the Architectural Division’s strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Understand analytics to measure viability, market opportunity, product, and brand performance over the product life cycle
- Work with marketing, sales, and operations to help identify new product opportunities from local and global suppliers build a new product pipeline that aligns with the Business Strategy.
- Understand stock management processes and utilize to lead product implementation
- Manage SKUs and pricing for the local market together with COS sales team
- Manage the review of products and suppliers into our COS network and recommend changes to increase sales, profitability, stock turns and GMROI.
- Implement new products and line extensions to deliver an increase in sales
- Develop promotional calendar and range comms, and work with Sales team to review activity performance.
- Work with local and regional Supply Chain and Procurement teams and act as a main contact for all paint accessories suppliers
- Contribute to business financial targets of EBIT, market share, and profitability
- Reduce and manage Recoverable Assets and Magna Carta
- Experience working in an environment where strategic brand-building efforts are complemented by hard-driving promotional activities.
- Project management, financial acumen and experience managing complex portfolios
- Understanding of the architectural coatings business, and PPG’s product offer
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce or similar with a Marketing focus
- 1-2 years’ experience in similar role.
