Project Description:
We've been engaged by an Australian financial institution to support their Calypso asset within wide range of projects like Product & Pricing, Risk & Regulatory, Collateral Management, Version upgrades etc. We are looking for multiple people across business analysis, development, and QA as part of this large-scale engagement.
This role requires an experienced Calypso project manager / Product Owner. It is highly autonomous and will involve interaction with senior level executives, SMEs, quant analysts and developers, requiring someone with a deep understanding of traded, liquidity and market risk to deliver on the business outcome.
This will be a high-profile engagement with a view to grow our footprint with this client.
Responsibilities:
Person will be business representative manging and coordinating new requirements with IT, prioritising, supporting UAT and post go live activities
* Lead the OTC Calypso Stream within a multi-Year exchange wide Transformation Program. Focus will be on upgrading from v13 to v17.
* Formulate the critical path and success criteria. Where needed interpret metrics related to curve construction, pricing feeds, position management, stress testing results, and participant reporting -- to deliver on business outcomes.
* Responsible for initiation, planning, delivery and implementation, utilising available resources to deliver on time and meet quality benchmarks.
* Identify risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
* Excellent commercial acumen, communication and collaboration skills a must have.
* Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders at the Executive level.
* Identify and plan resource requirements to meet business objectives.
* Managing all stakeholders' expectations across the program.
Mandatory Skills Description:
* 10+ years of financial services or capital markets experience, particularly in clearing risk, settlement or registry functions highly desirable.
* Prior experience driving Calypso projects as an SME or Delivery lead. Must be comfortable with JIRA, Confluence and similar tools.
* Technical financial risk IP, having worked on clearing or financial risk, data integration, or other related areas.
* Strong communication, facilitation and documentation skills. Is able to collaborate with stakeholders across all seniority levels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Previous experience working on large programs encompassing multiple initiatives / projects.
* Enjoys working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous and continuously changing environment.
* Work both independently and as part of a team and ability to look at big picture and at the same time, dive into the details.
* Effective problem solving skills, welcomes change and is adaptable within a very dynamic environment.
* indepth knowledge on Market Risk, Credit Risk, FRTB and Quants (closest match)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Experience in other capital market platforms like Murex, FIS etc
* Experience with working in LCH Swapclear, Markiwire, Trioptima
