We have an exciting opportunity in the Unified Communication Group for a Product Owner (Statewide Voice Services).

Reporting into Senior Product Owner – Core Platforms, Applications and Services, you will be part of the team responsible for the integration of multiple enterprise communication tools, such as integrated voice, SMS, video conferencing, meeting rooms and clinical applications into a single, streamlined interface, with the goal of improving user experience (UX) and productivity across the NSW Health system.

The team supports the development and delivery of new/existing products and services in two key streams. Core platforms, applications and services is one stream delivering Statewide Voice, conferencing, mobile and messaging services. AV and collaboration products is the other stream delivering modern meeting spaces, AV, and electronic signage. We have a hybrid way of working, the majority performed remotely with regular interactions over MS Teams and face to face in Chatswood.

To manage end-to-end lifecycle for Statewide Voice Services with strategic vision and roadmap, including financial management of products, to maximise customer and organisation value. The role has a focus to effectively manage and achieve agreed product deliverables by working with group managers, operation leads, senior Product Owners, Product Owners, capability managers across the business, ICT engineers, finance, and a wide array of stakeholders in LHDs across Health NSW.

What you will do

As an integral member of the Unified Communication , you will:

  • Develop strategic product vision and roadmap for Statewide Voice Services.
  • Contribute to developing strategic vision to maximise customer and organisational value.
  • Provide SME and oversee product lifecycle operations using relevant governance framework.
  • Lead and manage the product backlog.
  • Contribute to documentation and manage adherence to SLAs.
  • Support the product team throughout lifecycle to deliver on requirements.
  • Provide professional advice and support across Statewide Voice tools.
  • Partner with customers and key stakeholders to effectively manage and achieve product deliverables, program priorities and successful outcomes.

About you

The skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for in you are:

  • Product owner with experience managing Statewide Voice Services product in a large-scale and complex environment, experience in the NSW Health sector will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated superior expertise and a proven record of achievement managing a large and complex product lifecycle and leading multidisciplinary teams in a large and complex corporate and clinical ICT service environment.
  • Demonstrated Experience working with VoIP and UC as a Service, Hosted Telephony, SIP Trunking and PSTN voice products.
  • Extensive knowledge deploying and managing fleets of Mobile phones/tablets (iOS and Android), Desk Phones and telephony enabled devices (MS Teams and SIP). Familiarity with leading UC platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Telstra IP Telephony, or similar systems.
  • Strong presentation skills – road mapping
  • Strong communication skills – stakeholders of all levels
  • Finance acumen

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form-IM011 form). Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

To be eligible for this role, you must have current Australian work rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with a current passport, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia).
