The Opportunity

As a Product & Systems Specialist, your primary objective is to demonstrate the agronomic and economic value of integrating John Deere Precision Ag products into John Deere's comprehensive range of goods. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing product and technology knowledge among dealers and team members, supporting the development and execution of product demonstrations aligned with the respective Area of Responsibility (AOR) requirements.

This is a field-based position based in Victoria, where you would be working from a home-based office as part of a Territory Team. This position requires regular domestic and few international travels to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.

Role Objectives:

• Responsible for Product and Technology Knowledge Development in dealers and team members
• Assist dealers in developing, executing, and supporting product demonstrations aligned with their AOR requirements.
• Manage and execute demonstration plans for company owned equipment.
• Create compelling value proposition statements/documents to drive the growth of embedded technology take rates.
• Govern the Product and Technology Optimization process in pre-sale activities.
• Ensure that the dealers have a Precision Ag Mainstreaming plan in progress and understand and communicate your role to support the execution.
• Manage and own all company owned equipment including utilisation and inspection compliance with the consignment policy.
• Support Sales Opportunity Identification and Enablement 
• Responsible to represent the Territory at Field Days & Trade Show Events 
• Support the dealers and territory teams Customer Visits and Salesperson ride-along activities.

*You will be provided with a fully maintained tool of trade vehicle for use in accordance with the Company Car Policy.
 

About you:

You are an energetic self-starter who is an excellent team player who takes pride in their work and their working environment.

What Skills You Need

• A strong background in agriculture, agronomy, or a related field is essential to understand the industry's nuances and effectively communicate the benefits of Precision Ag products.
• Operational experience of equipment and strong technology knowledge
• Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills. 
• Experience in supporting sales teams. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to plan and prioritise.

What Makes You Stand Out 

While the following skills are not mandatory, they'll make you stand out as an exceptional candidate:

• Operational experience of agricultural products in real life scenarios 
• Familiarity with John Deere products, especially within the Precision Ag domain, is a significant advantage.
• An understanding of the digital landscape and its implications on Precision Agriculture
• Passion for agriculture and an understanding of local seasonality
• Proficiency in public speaking
