Job Description
The role of the Production Assembler / Docking Saw operator is responsible for, predominately cutting a variety of timbers, and the use of power tools, to assist with the production of custom crates and pallets to meet customer or standard products and specifications.
Reporting to the General Manager, the role will also be responsible to ensure goods and services are produced safely, efficiently, cost-effectively and on time and that they meet the required quality standards, in the manufacture of crate, pallets and other products and services.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to work autonomously within a busy and friendly team environment. This is a constant hands-on and physically demanding role.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Be available for an immediate start
- Timber industry experience - construction of timber crates and pallets
- Experience using hand tools and power tools, such as nail guns and saws
- Forklift licence would be highly desirable
- Basic knowledge and understanding of maths and measurement
- Professional, helpful and flexible approach
- Reliable, punctual with good work ethic and can-do attitude
- Capable of physical and manual handling tasks
- Well-presented and good communication skills
