AddressOur client, provide expert recycling and waste management solutions across Australia to high profile industries are seeking a Production Chemist to join their team. The role is based in the East Arm, Darwin. This is a new full-time permanent vacancy with opportunities to grow and develop as the company expand.
Duties:
- Analysis and sampling of raw materials, in process materials, finished goods and environmental samples to support the site operations.
- Provide technical support for new and existing laboratory procedures
- Be actively involved in continuous improvement processes
- Maintenance and calibration of laboratory and testing equipment
- Participate in client engagement as required
- General housekeeping duties, maintenance and quality matters including calibration of equipment and documentation review.
- Work collaboratively with all group personnel
- A tertiary level qualification in chemistry or scientific discipline
- Demonstrable chemical or production laboratory experience
- Knowledge of method development and validation would be an advantage
- Understanding or working knowledge of glycol testing is highly desirable
- A demonstrated high level of communication, both verbal and written
