About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Control and Planning Coordinator to join our dynamic team based at our Port Wakefield Pork Processing Facility. This role calls for a highly motivated and experienced self-starter who values collaboration and continual process improvements. As the PCP Coordinator you will be responsible for a variety of tasks from developing and implementing the daily/ weekly production plan to yield determinations.
About you:
As PCP you will be both experienced as a Meat Industry all-rounder, with the ability to undertake a variety of cuts to determine yields and also an experienced Manager with the ability to produce timely reports and solutions. The ideal applicant will possess
- Pervious Supervisory or Management experience within the Meat Industry.
- A well-developed knowledge of Microsoft office and in particular Microsoft excel.
- A clear and confident communicator, unafraid to consult others and ask for advice.
- Advanced Microsoft excel abilities with general Microsoft office and PC use.
- Ausmeat Boning Room/ Abattoir Accreditation or willingness to obtain.
- Tertiary qualifications in management desirable but not essential.
- Accepts ownership and responsibility for their decisions.
- Current and unencumbered Class C Drivers License.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement the Daily/ Weekly Production Plans and overseeing their execution.
- Laisse and collaborate with key Production Stakeholders including Procurement, Sales and Section Managers
- Ensuring compliance to all legislation, policies and procedures including but not limited to HACCP, AA Program, labelling requirements and production requirements.
- Identify opportunities of efficiency and yield improvements throughout the production process.
- Complete Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly Yield Reports and Scorecard.
- Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and Production Control systems.
- Evaluate Production Control activities to ensure that final product meets customer specifications.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure customer orders are packed and transited according to customer specifications.
- Plan Production Control activities to improve runtime while maintaining high quality, timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Route Customer orders to production via the Pronto system.
