About the company and the vacancy
The company is a chain of typical chicken/chips and drink style shop, We have a warehouse where all the equipment are tested, maintained to Health and Safety criteria, and given that we have 12 branches there are daily modifications and maintenance on the equipment. So we need a Production or Plant Engineer to join our enthusiastic team.
The role
- Supporting plant operations and manage manufacturing of all products effectively and implement.
- Be responsible for new equipment installations and commissioning.Administer and resolve all technical maintenance issues.
- Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions as required.
- Perform regular audit on all safety control programs.
- Ensuring long term sustainability of ageing plant and equipment, and work towards improvements to existing production processes and waste reduction solutions.
- Work towards continuous improvement of maintenance practices through a hands-on approach, while mentoring team on best practices.
- Assist with investigation of customer and consumer quality complaints to determine root cause and where relevant engineer machine related solution.
- Prepare and manage documentation such as change control, engineering drawings, installation and commissioning protocols/reports and set-up sheets.
Ideal candidate
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Production or Plant Engineer
- Bachelor degree in an manufacturing engineering qualification or equivalent
- Strong track record in developing strong relationships with technical teams, customers, vendors and leaders in large organisations
- Fundamental understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness
- Demonstrated ability to interpret customers' business and technical needs
- Ideally, excellent skills in written and oral communication, problem solving, issue resolution, stakeholder management, and a thorough understanding of delivering user requirements under typical project constraints
