The work we do at Albemarle helps to pioneer new ways to move, power, connect, and protect.The RoleThe Production Engineer will provide technical support to the Production team while facilitating safe and efficient systems of work so as to meet safety, production and cost targets. The Production Engineer will contribute to continual improvement within the production department, including management of change processes to remove barriers and optimise work systems, and improvement to production processes where identified.It is a residential role, you will work full time at our Kemerton site and will be required to work Monday to Friday (standard business hours).Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the implementation and execution of Safety Systems and ProceduresParticipate in and provide technical input to Safety and Risk Assessment activitiesDemonstrate and encourage operational excellence and discipline within the production teamManage conflicting priorities while maintaining key stakeholder interests and relationshipsDevelop and maintain technical components of production documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, Operation Manuals and Training MaterialMonitor plant performance against Key Performance Indicators. Develop and maintain reports to communicate plant performance against KPIs.Identify deviations from target operating ranges and troubleshoot to root cause.Identify, design and implement effective solutions to address the root cause of chronic deviations. Participate in Management of Change activities to provide technical input and reviewContribute to the development of the Production Plan and Budget and ensure adherence during operationContribute to Maintenance Planning and Scheduling activitiesContribute to process interruption and process Incident InvestigationsPrepare technical reports to effectively communicate results of investigations, opportunities for improvement and technical observationsDevelop and coordinate an ‘in process’ and quality assurance laboratory analysis program in consultation with the QA/QC department to effectively monitor and control the production processAbout YouAlbemarle is a values-driven company that appreciates and promotes resilience, equity, inclusion and diversity of background, experience and expertise.
