The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.
Let’s Talk About the Team
In this role, you will lead a team of seven (7) equipment specialists in the implementation of the Reliability@ ResMed program which centres on delivering optimal service conditions and availability across six (6) production assembly lines.
Further to the above, this role is responsible for providing on-going customer support to internal manufacturing operations for the planned and unplanned maintenance of manufacturing systems, including the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to achieve best in class operational outcomes, measured through safety, quality, efficiency, and cost metrics.
This role also involves working with cross functional stakeholders within various engineering departments, inclusive of NPI (New Product Introductions) to develop and maintain validated manufacturing lines that satisfy both Product and Quality requirements.

- Lead / Drive Equipment Reliability Analysis to identify downtime trends and apply appropriate mitigations to meet expectations on equipment uptime and reliability.
- Work closely with Manufacturing teams to implement documented manufacturing process & equipment improvements whilst providing operational support.
- Develop and upskill the team of multi-skilled equipment specialists who support the various manufacturing lines and the delivery of targeted training programs.
- Through data analytics, maintain and manage an optimal level of critical and strategic equipment spares for planned and unplanned equipment repairs.
- Leading the on-time execution of preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in accordance with the Equipment Plant Manuals, with documented and approved records to satisfy all quality or audit requirements.
- Working with preferred service and material suppliers to deliver cost-competitive engineering solutions whilst managing Service Level Agreement criteria.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all ResMed OH&S regulations along with the execution & close out of identified safety actions whilst continually improving workplace safety overall.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechatronic, Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated problem solving experience / techniques and positive outcomes.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams.
- Experience with equipment preventative maintenance programs and improvements, equipment qualification, and process validation within a regulated Quality System environment.
- Hands-on approach in troubleshooting / equipment repair.
- Experience in Medical industry preferred, yet FMCG, Food or Pharmaceutical industry experience highly regarded.
Preferred:
- Experience in leading a diverse team of technicians / equipment specialists.
- Experience in supplier management.
