If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Production Floor Team Leader at our egg grading facility located in Kinglake West.

The Role 

Reporting to Production Supervisor some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Leading the Production team to maximise shift hours (including setup, daily meetings, changeovers, breaks and shutdowns).

• Ensuring adherence to any quality system procedures and controls.

• Liaise with the Maintenance Team Lead for reliability issues.

• Liaise with Stores Team Leader to assist in escalation of raw material issues, such as eggs, packaging etc. 

• Liaise with the Quality Team Lead to ensure quality standards are met daily. 

• Shift report on downtime by category, safety and/or quality issues.

• Daily Management meetings with the team to talk through the previous day performance with actions to resolve issues and escalate if cannot resolve the issues.

• Working to the agreed schedule and responsible for schedule adherence.

• Ensure grading floor area is kept clean and organised by instilling a clean-as-you-go culture in all areas.

• Perform role back up for other members of the team when needed.

• Use SAP to manage inventory of eggs daily.

About You

• Previous experience in a similar role in a food production or manufacturing environment highly desirable.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make timely decisions to ensure production goals are met.
