Form of workProduction Machine Operator / Forklift Driver About Our Role Godfrey HIrst has a full-time, permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our carpet tile operation, at our Breakwater site (Fellmongers Road). Reporting to the shift supervisor, you will be using our machinery to produce our carpet tiles, as well as packing them to get them ready for despatch. Ideally, this role will also help with loading our finished product using our electric counterbalance forklifts. This role will work from 7:00am to 3:00pm, with a paid lunch break, as well as Rostered Day’s Off (RDOs). On the job training and instruction will be provided. The person Ideally you will have experience in a manufacturing environment and understand the importance of a safety-first approach and working collectively as a team to ensure production runs efficiently and to the required quality standard, and that production targets are achieved. You’ll be physically fit, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and have basic computer skills. You will also be punctual and reliable. A current forklift license is beneficial but not essential. Any mechanical knowledge would be highly advantageous.
