Job Description:We currently have an exciting opportunity for a
Production Manager to join our Rail and Transit Systems team in Cardiff - NSW. * The position of
Production Manager is responsible for:
- Providing safe direction and leadership for all apprentice, trade, and non-trade employees on site.
- Driving a positive working culture of openness and transparency whilst encouraging teamwork.
- Undertaking safety and critical risk inspections / interactions throughout the site.
- Working closely with project stakeholders that include engineering, quality, finance, and supply chain.
- Provide input into build plans and project schedules based on production requirements.
- Ensure all production plans are executed efficiently, resources are organised and controlled.
- Maintain compliance to all manufacturing, design, and customer specifications.
- Provide input into operational and project budgets.
Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in engineering or related disciplines.
- Previous experience in rolling stock operations, manufacturing, and maintenance environments.
- Significant leadership experience, working with high performing accountable workforces.
- Proven experience in production planning and management of work schedules, working to deadlines, achieving project deliverables.
- Demonstrable application of LEAN methodologies within a production environment.
- Ability to create innovative solutions to problems, implement change and lead zero harm / quality initiatives.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and how to drive successful outcomes.
- Ability to develop, nurture and maintain sound relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
