Production Manager Operation Lead

About UsOur client is a multinational corporation with a long history of producing consumer products. They are currently looking for a Production Manager (Operation Lead) to join their at their South Australia Mill.

About The Role

• Lead a manufacturing and operations team, overseeing both Family Care and B2B operations.
• Core member of mill leadership team, leading sizeable Operations team
• Ensure compliance with Manufacturing Standards for 'Best in Class' results
• Implement best practices in employee safety, product quality, and asset productivity
• Comply with regulatory EHS&S requirements in safety
• Drive culture and capabilities improvement through leadership
• Identify and mitigate risks, control safety and environmental hazards
• Coach teams in root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventative actions
• Promote, participate in, and support Quality Management System
• Accountable for Quality KPIs - RFT Make, Customer complaints, COPQ
• Communicate importance of quality to production teams
• Support QMS requirements - QNC, CAPA, complaints handling
• Maximize asset utilization with safety and quality at minimized cost
• Provide guidance on World Class Manufacturing Culture initiatives/programs
• Coach and develop team members for robust and stable manufacturing processes
• Drive operational benchmarks and implement continuous improvement
• Implement facility quality system, emphasizing process control principles
• Own Leader Standard Work, GEMBA, and Lean Six Sigma practices
• Lead team performance management and development through training and career tools

Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Sciences, or a related field
• Minimum of 10-12 years' experience in factory management/complex industrial operations, with 3-5 years in an Operational Leadership Management position
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage large organizations
• Strong expertise in lean six sigma and continuous improvement
• Evidence of specialized knowledge/experience in the particular discipline
• Proven track record of working with stakeholders in a matrix organization and cross-functionally
• Experience across categories (paper, personal care) will be an added advantage
