The Role
As Megasorber continues to grow and increase production, this role will be a key member of the team with the opportunity to build a long-term career.
The responsibilities will include:
- Manufacturing of quality products, including the set-up, calibration and cleaning of machines
- Monitoring machines to ensure optimum production, performing safety checks on equipment and troubleshooting any problems
- Liaising with internal staff to provide information regarding progress, maintaining records and activity logs
- Filling of orders, ensuring the accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation.
- Monitoring and managing stock
- Completing work to high standards while also ensuring compliance with our occupational health and safety standards
- Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
- Ensure the factory and warehouse housekeeping is well maintained
About You
To be successful in this position, you have at least one year working in a manufacturing / production environment. Experience with Textiles, Lamination processes and/or CNC cutting is an added bonus.
You have a growth mindset, a willingness to learn, and experience working in a team. You also have good computer skills, strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
With a strong focus on quality and occupational health and safety, you have a desire to work hard and can keep up with the physical demands of the role. You have the ability to manage and organise work and self in a systematic, accurate and timely manner.
Previous experience working with integrated quality management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001) and lean management principals is another definite advantage.
A desire to understand the Megasorber product range and our customers' requirements (architectural, industrial, fit for purpose), is vital.
You have a current Driver’s Licence. A Forklift Licence is also desirable, but not a requirement.
