Our Position
Rockcote have Fulltime Production Operator positions available with an immediate start, to work in our texture and paint manufacturing plant at our Yandina factory.
You will be responsible for a range of tasks including weighing and measuring raw materials as per batch cards, mixing, decanting into buckets, quality testing and stacking pallets.
Working on a weekly 4 day rotating shift, each shift works 9.5hrs per day and does not work on Fridays, this equates to a fulltime 38hr week. The hours are 5am-3pm Monday to Thursday one week and 1pm-11pm Monday to Thursday the next week. So you can enjoy a 3 day weekend every week!
Due to working on a rotating shift, you will receive a 15% shift loading on your base rate every week. Above award wages are paid with the opportunity to continually increase your hourly rate by meeting competency levels.
About You
You must be able to demonstrate the following experience, abilities and personal attributes:
- A positive attitude with ability to take directions
- Reliability
- Accuracy and safe handling of raw materials
- Professional approach and collaborative working manner
- Physically fit & strong with the ability to handle heavy & repetitive lifting up to 25kg
- Ability to operate heavy machinery
- Sound literacy, reading and numeracy abilities to record data
- Knowledge of Safe Work Practices
- Experience in a similar manufacturing environment is desirable
- Forklift ticket is an advantage, but is not essential
