Pioneers in waste management solutions, with proven success across 3 continents for over 10 years, our client is an innovative engineering/manufacturing company based in Toowoomba, QLD. Supporting a range of industries including Agriculture, Council, Health, and more, their industry-leading technology is used to overcome challenges with Biomass and Biosolid wastes.
To support their ongoing success and growth in the industry, a skilled Production Operator is required to run their specialised CCT (Continuous de-Carbonisation Technology) system, used to demonstrate this advanced technology to potential customers and as a testing platform for their engineers in continuous development of the technology.
The Role
Based in Wellcamp, the Production operator will play a critical role in the safe, reliable, and efficient running of the CCT facility, ensuring production, testing, and quality targets are met, and that machinery is maintained at the highest standard. In addition to operating/monitoring CCT systems, this role will also be responsible for the safe handling, loading, and unloading of associated material.
With a strong focus on safety and quality, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Safely operating and monitoring of the computer controlled CCT systems along with other items of plant and equipment such as Telehandlers, Forklifts, and Loaders.
- Coordinating diverse feedstock arrangements and managing Biochar production and stock.
- Performing mechanical maintenance on CCT and other plants when required.
- Preparing and maintaining required records on the plant operation, feedstock, and Biochar.
- Providing labouring duties as required for site and plant operations.
About You
Computer-savvy and mechanically minded, the successful applicant will have previous experience in a similar production-based role. Working 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – you will have the flexibility to adhere to operational pressures if required after hours.
To be considered for this role, it’s important you can address the following criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain complex plant and machinery.
- Experience in the operation of Telehandlers, Forklifts, and Loaders.
- Experience operating mechanical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and popping components.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Open driver’s licence (Essential)
- Ability to work between the hours of 6am and 3pm
- Current certification in First Aid, CPR, LVR (Desirable – training provided if needed)
- Qualifications for operation of Telehandlers and Forklifts
With the forecast to triple in size over the next 5 years, this role presents a unique opportunity for someone to further develop their career alongside the company’s growth.
