The Role:
We have a great opportunity for a Production Planner to join our team at Stramit in Hobart.
As a the successful candidate you will be responsible for working as part of our high paced manufacturing team to complete broad range of activities aimed at ensuring the optimal and timely manufacture of our made-to-order products to meet customer demand.
Your duties:
- Monitor manufacturing capacity and workload, taking appropriate action when required
- Process manufacturing orders, including releasing orders, detailing products and printing order labels
- Review and update order status within ERP system to maintain transaction integrity
- Monitor and report production activity to drive OEE and OPEX performance.
- Responsible for inventory management through internal and external purchasing.
- Support the plant manager with driving an ever improving safety performance
- Collaborate regularly with various internal and external stakeholders including customer service, production, sales and purchasing teams to ensure exceptional customer service levels are maintained
The Person
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Working knowledge of production planning concepts and previous production planning experience especially in made to order manufacturing
- Be proactive in providing solutions and continuous improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suit
- Knowledge of Movex or similar ERP system - desirable
- Previous experience in a similar operational environment - desirable
