Production Supervisor
Recruitment Vision is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to supervise a leading recylcling manufcaturer based in Ballarat. The pimary duties of the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR role will be to allocate work to the production departments, ensure customer delivery dates are met (where raw materials are available), over see the smooth and efficient running of the production areas.
About The Role:
- Ensure all production work is done to a standard that meets the customers’ requirements.
- Lead your team of production workers to ensure work is carried out efficiently & accurately.
- Hold weekly staff meetings to ensure all site staff are compliant
- Package all orders such that they are received at its destination fully protected. Ensuring that this is undertaken in the most cost-effective manner.
- Ensure the production areas are organised and kept in a tidy and safe manner.
- Scheduling machine time/products
- Act as first line supervision in all matters and be able to defer to management for any disciplinary or performance concerns pertaining to subordinate employees,
- Able to personally make each of the products within the Replas portfolio and be able to use each of the pieces of equipment within the BMC Production area
- Advise management on any quality issues that need to be addressed and of any safety issues that may arise
- Advise on purchasing of consumable and advise on purchasing of all types of tools
- Continually review all jobs products and processes within the production area of BMC for any possible improvement, advise management of any changes that are proposed,
- Ensure all production paperwork is filled out and continually review all SOP’s and modify as needed
- Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment (ideally with leadership experince)
- Computer Literate (able to use basic microsoft suite of products)
- Demonstrated technical skills to operate factory equipment, assist in maintenance and communicate maintenance issues.
- Strong leadership capability and interest in developing team members
- Excellent communication skills and ability manage relationship both down and upwards
- Results driven with ability to focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to lead a team whilst remaining hands on and assist team members on the floor
