The Position
An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced, passionate and motivated Production Supervisor to join our team based at our Edinburgh North Factory.
As a Production Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate production and assembly teams to ensure safe manufacture and packaging of quality steel frames and components.
Responsibilities will also include but not limited to:
- Accomplishing manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraisal of resources.
- Maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, inducting, and training employees.
- Coordinates production schedules in conjunction with Workflow Coordinator
- Delivers product to plan by effectively scheduling and assigning teams and resources.
- Ensures operation of equipment by monitoring programmed maintenance schedules and managing unscheduled downtime to minimise impact within the Operations environment.
The Person
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, time management skills and a high attention to detail. It is also important that you are able to prioritise effectively, be a confident team player who has a positive attitude and the ability to build relationships and treat our customers with sensitivity, empathy and integrity.
The successful candidate will have:
- Vocational Qualification in Management or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing environment will be necessary.
- Minimum 5+ years in leading production teams
- Excellent Leadership skills, and track record in establishing and developing teams as well as proven track record in supervision and performance management.
- Ability to build a team environment based on flexibility, openness to change, role modelling, and active team engagement.
- Demonstrated track record in productivity improvement
