: From a small family-owned shop in the 60's, my Client has grown into one of Australia’s largest food manufacturers, suppliers and marketers of frozen savoury, frozen meals and dessert products and have become a household name.
The Role: This Production and Supply Planner plays a vital part in ensuring the seamless operation of the Birsbane manufacturing site. The responsibilities will be optimising production schedules, material planning and ordering raw materials from both suppliers and partnering sites, BOM management and capacity planning. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on the supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimising resources and minimising costs.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Analyse demand forecasts and production capacity to identify potential bottlenecks and develop solutions to optimise efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and streamline supply chain operations.
- Generate reports and analyse key performance indicators to track and evaluate supply chain performance.
- Determine the work order management and schedule in Make to Stock and Make to Order environments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in production planning and supply chain coordination within the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience with dealing with products with a short shelf-life.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Prior involement in ERP implmentations preferrable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and GMP standards is preferred.
