Since their inception in 2003, they have grown to become the largest manufacturer of thermal protection products in Australasia, and globally, a leading provider of specialist Cold Chain and Controlled Room Temperature (CRT) solutions.
Their unique thermal insulation products are developed to protect goods against rapid temperature changes, weather extremes and mechanical damage during transport and storage.
Their leading product is a thermal blanket which can be used at any or every logistic point within the supply chain to manage thermal risks and minimise the likelihood of excursions.
Their small purpose-built manufacturing facility is continually expanding and due to this they require a Production Worker in a full-time permanent capacity to work Monday - Friday starting at 10.00am - 6.00pm.
About the Role
Working out of a unique, clean, modern warehouse space in Port Melbourne and reporting into the customer focus manager, you will have hands on involvement in daily production of lightweight thermal products using the latest in CNC technology, batch processing and packing of product. You will adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and get full training.
You will be responsible for overall production of the thermal items, and other minimal warehouse duties as directed.
Working autonomously, it is not a fast-paced environment, you work at your own speed and at times it can be repetitive.
Core responsibilities
- Manufacture products in accordance with company SOP’s
- Machine operate a basic CNC machine (no experience necessary) – full training provided
- Taping of thermal product to meet size requirements
- Maintaining cleanliness of workspace
- Occasionally receipting of Inwards goods
- Be self-motivated, show initiative and be pro-active.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to work autonomously while handling daily tasks
- Maintain high standards of quality
- Follow compliance of WH&S practices
Skills and experience
- Competent computing knowledge.
- Basic experience with Microsoft suite of products
- Demonstrated attention to quality and detail
- Must be reliable and trustworthy by nature
- Be a self-starter and motivator
- Basic Production Worker experience desirable but not essential
- Have good knowledge of safe WH&S practices
