Role Description
This is a newly created role where you will be responsible for supervising the accreditation process for provisional teachers through to proficient status across our Northern Rivers centres. As you settle into the role and make it your own the day-to-day tasks may vary. This role will require you to travel between centres to visit our early childhood teachers from time to time and when not supervising the accreditation process, you will be engaged to work as an Early Childhood Teacher at one of our Northern NSW centres.
Role responsibilities
- mentor our early childhood teachers throughout the registration process.
- review our early childhood teacher's evidence portfolios providing written and verbal feedback.
- conducting face to face observations of teaching practice.
- provide support to our early childhood teachers to understand the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and evidence requirements.
- liaise and work collaboratively with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority.
- support our early childhood teachers in preparation for the panel interview including reviews of required paperwork and final documentation.
- provide support and assistance across the entire process.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent.
- Registered teacher with a Proficient registration status in the state of NSW
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the early childhood education and care sector as a practicing teacher
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Valid working with children check
