Program Planner – 12-month contract

(with the potential for permanency for the right candidate)

Commencing May 20th, 2024

Action Learning Initiatives is an organisation deeply rooted in a love for snow sports and the great outdoors. We believe in nurturing young individuals' connections with the environment and fostering outdoor activities as integral parts of their development. Situated at Bungarra Alpine Centre, we collaborate with schools and various groups to offer a diverse range of programs, including centre-based activities, resort experiences, and expeditions. Our adventures into Kosciuszko National Park encompass hiking, paddling, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and more, all aimed at inspiring exploration, imagination, and self-discovery.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team and assist in planning and coordinating both our summer and winter programs. The ideal candidate will possess a warm and approachable demeanour, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive amidst a dynamic workload, ensuring smooth office operations and program development.

Compensation will be in accordance with the Clerks - Private Sector Award (MA000002), based on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Essential

• Strong organisational and planning skills with relevant experience

• Proficiency in office environments

• Commitment to the 12-month contract duration, with potential for extension

• Self-motivation and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and Publisher, along with adeptness in internet usage

Desirable

• Experience in the education or outdoor education sectors

• Familiarity with Kosciuszko National Park and the Snowy Mountains region

• Passion for outdoor activities and working with young people

If you're passionate about the outdoors and enthusiastic about shaping transformative experiences for young individuals, we encourage you to apply. Join us in our mission to inspire a lifelong love for nature and adventure!

To apply, please send your resume and a cover letter showcasing your suitability for the role to Rebecca at *******@action-learning.com.au by April 29th, 2024. We're eager to welcome someone who shares our dedication to outdoor education and youth empowerment.
