The Opportunity
The Maintenance Planner - Maintenance Projects is a technical specialist accountable for developing project scopes into deliverable Job Plans for the decommissioning and replacement of HV/LV & Digital assets. Job plans include job requirements on HV/LV outages, Commissioning Plans, Outage recall profiles, WHSMP's, mobile plant requirements, specialised equipment or resources, number of resources, minimum skill level, work hours per skill level, job duration & job roster patterns. The role is responsible for optimisation of the program by activity planning & coordination with other maintenance and construction programs.
The Maintenance Planner is also accountable for the accuracy of Job Plan estimates. The role sits within the Maintenance group who is responsible for maintaining Transgrid's assets and delivering an efficient and predictive program of works.
About you
- Possession of an appropriate qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience:
- Electrical or Powerlines (Transmission) Certificate III or equivalent and/or
- Electrical Trades Certificate III or equivalent and/or
- Diploma level or equivalent or relevant formal technician training qualifications
- Extensive practical experience in the decommissioning and replacement of substation/transmission/digital assets including associated functions relevant to this position description
- Authorised under Transgrid's Power System Safety Rules
- Knowledge in the application of WHS and environmental legislation relative to duties of the position
- Knowledge of corporate drawings, design and management systems
- Extensive experience in ERP systems and works management
- Knowledge and understanding of Transgrid's Mobile Plant Framework
- Competent in use of all Microsoft products including excel to perform data analytics and PowerBI reports
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and allocate tasks to ensure work completed to corporate guidelines
- Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant Transgrid policies and procedures and an ability to accurately interpret them in order to ensure compliance
- Understanding of the need to manage confidential or sensitive information effectively
- Sound interpersonal skills that will facilitate the establishment of positive working relationships with stakeholders and peers
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
