Do you want drive Liebherr Australia’s organisational growth programme to 2030 and beyond?  The organisation is preparing for unprecedented growth and wishes to recruit an experienced Programme Manager to lead a broad range of cross-functional organisational projects.  Do you have exceptional programme/master scheduling experience with the capacity to clearly define project scopes, identify critical path, mitigate risk, and quantify investment requirements?  Are you an exceptional communicator with the capacity to influence and work effectively in a matrix project organisation to drive the organisations growth journey?

The Opportunity:

Based in Adelaide or Perth, Liebherr Australia is seeking a Programme Manager to work with an established matrix project organisation to translate fleet growth into functional requirements and to provide modelled data driven inputs to a broad range of project scopes delivered as a programme This programme will ensure the organisation is ready to meet the growth requirements.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Future Industries Project, you will manage and coordinate a Master Schedule across the portfolio of projects. Routine high quality programme reporting is a key deliverable where constraint, risk and mitigation strategies are clearly articulated.  You will have the communication skills to engage cross functional teams as well as to deliver comprehensive updates to Executive stakeholders domestically, internationally internal, and external to the organisation.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Preparing and executing a resource capacity plan and resource schedules.
    • Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects interrelationships, alignments and impacts to achieve integrated and coordinated delivery.
    • Ensure programme’s scope, plans, costs, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies are developed, implemented, and delivered on time, to budget and specification.
    • Ability to Influence and support change across functional areas, with a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships where competing agendas and priorities exist.
    • Persuade, motivate, and engage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders influential to the program’s success, such as the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Management using tailored strategies including workshops, briefings, and presentations.
    • Produce accurate, succinct, and high-quality reports on project progress through project lifecycles.
    • Excellent risk management skills, with experience reporting and resolving risks and issues that could impact project outcomes.
    • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative environment with high performing teams with high priority deliverables under tight timeframes and balancing competing priorities.
    • Lead the development of detailed needs analyses and business cases to initiate various programs/ projects and present aspects of the individual business cases to obtain approval from senior stakeholders.

    Skills and qualifications:

    • Degree qualification in Commerce, Business, Finance, Project Management, or a relevant discipline.
    • Formal qualification in Project Management (Essential)
    • Strong track record leading and implementing major transformational or change management projects across large complex business areas and organisations.
    • Highly developed master scheduling capabilities, including using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools) to develop and manage complex project schedules.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle conflicts, and proactively address scheduling challenges in a dynamic project environment.
    • Proven experience in large scale transformation initiatives driving multiple streams of organisational functions.
    • Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects interrelationships, alignments and impacts to achieve integrated and coordinated delivery.
    • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
