McCosker currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team based in Gladstone, Central Queensland.
- Monday to Friday - 40 hrs
- Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly project work in progress (WIP) reports, associated analysis and coordination of monthly reviews with management.
- Undertake plant and project accounting including internal labour and plant charges and associated rate maintenance.
- Assist in preparation of project estimates, cash flow forecast, and associated revenue recognition information.
- Prepare monthly accrual entries and associated balance sheet reconciliation work papers.
- Maintain project set-up and phase codes.
- Business system super user who integrates and collaborates to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop finance business partnering experience working with a supportive senior management team.
- Continuously seek to improve knowledge, skills, processes, and programs.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- University degree in finance or accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- CA/CPA membership or working towards is desirable
- Construction finance background desirable, such as project cost control skills
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Viewpoint, Jobpac, Cheops, TechOne, SAP or similar
- Experience with analysis systems including PowerBI, SQL Server and Excel
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to prioritise and manage projects including the review of others' work product, as required
- Drives tasks to successful completion and closure.
