Location: Alexandria (2 days in office, 3 days remote)
Contract: 6 months (Possibly longer / permanent)
Salary: $652 Per day ($130,000 + Super Equivalent)
Company Overview: My client is a prominent player in the healthcare industry, known for their commitment to delivering top-quality healthcare services and driving innovation. They are going through a particular period of growth and require a hands on Project Accountant to come on board and help the FC.
Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Project Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and procedures. This is an initial 6-month contract position with the potential for extension and even permanent placement. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to finance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain standardized accounting procedures.
- Provide full autonomy in managing the finance operations of a designated sub-entity within the organization.
- Handle end-to-end financial responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address financial challenges.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategic solutions.
- Engage in ad-hoc project work as required, demonstrating flexibility and versatility.
- Actively seek internal growth and development opportunities within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP software is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
