  • Full time - Monday to Friday (12 months fixed term)
  • Salary Range - $63,000 to $82,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The Role

As the Projects and Interpretation Officer, you will manage a range of projects including the development, planning, and implementation of projects such as the Visitor Research Strategy, and Interpretation and Signage plan. This role will support the organisation in the development of, and contribution to, education and Interpretation programs, visitor engagement activities.

If you posses enthusiasm, and the skills and experience to: 

  • Develop and implement a strategy to support the delivery and implementation of Tourism projects including but not limited to visitor research, interpretive and directional signage as well as visitor experience activities and programs in line with key themes.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the non-regulatory Nature Parks signage, managing the entire process from storytelling development and graphic design brief to overseeing installation of the final product. Collaborate effectively with various departments throughout the project.
  • Lead and support the development of innovative products and experiences for the Tourism market.
  • Contribute to the visitor and market research.
  • Develop and implement processes for visitor data collection, feedback, evaluation, action, and monitoring as part of the Visitor Research Strategy.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Project management and leadership experience, preferably in tourism.
  • Proficient in developing and delivering high-quality interpretive signage.
  • Familiarity with modern techniques and technologies for innovative interpretation.
  • Skilled in visitor data collection, evaluation, and report preparation.
  • Understanding of market engagement activities.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills combined with the ability to apply these effectively in stakeholder engagement at various levels

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Working with Children Check 
  • Drivers’ License 
  • Evidence of work right status in Australia (copy of certified passport or birth certificate)
