Mobilize are currently searching for Project and Shutdown Coordinator (Electrical) to work with our client based in Kwinana. These are permanent full time positions working with a respected operator. On offer is a competitive salary with additional short term inceptives plus private health insurance just to name a few. This is a Monday to Friday standard 38 hours per week opportunity.
Reporting into the Project Superintendent you will provide frontline leadership and coordination of project execution.
About the role
- Strong commitment to work safely ensuring all site safety standards are adhered to through actively coaching and guiding all engaged contractors.
- Work closely with stakeholders to fine-tune project scopes prior to their execution
- Coordinate fabrication and construction of plant modifications consulting with the Maintenance and Reliability Engineers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Supervise contractors and support services to facilitate the execution of project works, safely and on budget.
- Manage quality assurance on projects executed, requesting that deviations in quality are remediated prior to payment.
- Manage requests for tender submissions and selection of support contractors for defined project scopes.
- Limit project variations and scope creep by working closely with Operations and Maintenance to lessen the impacts of delays on work fronts.
- Electrical Engineering or Trade qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in oil, gas, petrochemical or mineral refineries in a maintenance or commissioning capacity
- 2+ years’ experience in field-based project execution and leadership
- Ability to engage and communicate clearly with the team and liaise with all levels of the organization
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks
- Excellent knowledge of refinery operational practices
