Client is seeking and experienced Project Civil Engineer, responsible for overseeing project progress, maintain quality standards, resolve scheduling challenges, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
The primary objective is to enhance construction processes and reduce estimation errors as well as managing project variations and change orders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure works are set out accurately in accordance with approved drawings.
- Supervise and manage site activities to guarantee strict adherence to project specifications and plans, overseeing project execution for compliance.
- Develop and execute Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to maintain quality standards for concrete and earthwork projects.
- Proactively identify and address quality issues on projects to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Utilise project controls expertise to manage costs, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
- Supervise entire project, including team management, resource allocation, and schedule oversight, from inception to completion.
- Implement effective methods for tracking the progress of earthwork and concrete projects, utilising scheduling tools and techniques.
- Resolve scheduling challenges by taking appropriate steps to maintain project timelines.
- Handle project reporting and compliance with relevant regulations and standards, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Ensure project compliance with environmental and safety regulations, addressing and mitigating any non-compliance issues.
- Apply specialised technical knowledge related to concrete and earthwork construction, covering materials, equipment, and methods, to optimise project performance.
- Leverage data analysis for informed decision-making, implementing process improvements and enhancements.
- Employ your expertise to ensure accurate measurement and estimation for earthwork and concrete quantities, reducing estimation errors.
- Effectively manage project variations or change orders, overseeing the process to minimize disruptions and maintain project objectives.
- Proven experience in Civil Engineering, preferably in the Earthworks and Concreting industry.
- Construction Management or Engineering qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of industry knowledge.
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
