Your new Opportunity:
Foot Locker’s Store & Workplace Services team is driving digital transformation in our retail store and corporate environments.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for building POS systems by installing software and working with third party installers to get hardware installed. This person will have strong customer service and communication skills to walk both technicians and stores through troubleshooting situations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our Sr. Project Coordinators and vendors to design and recommend the technical architecture of store systems and infrastructure.
- Partner with internal and external teams to coordinate and support installation/de-installation in accordance with new, remodeling/relocating and closing stores; special events; and new hardware implementations. Travel as needed to support.
- Day-to-day system management of technical solutions and back-end interfaces.
- Demonstrate ability to remain current and effectively monitor store system functionality including in-store applications, hardware, and monitoring tools.
- Analyze, document, and provide recommendations for system and/or support practice improvement opportunities.
- Monitor support tickets to ensure timely response to field and corporate users.
- Critical Period Support – partner with FSC, Network/Telecom, Help Desk, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely processing goals are met.
- Assist monitoring team when needed for fixes.
- Complete Deployments as requested by the business via xAdmin and PowerShell scripts.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks when needed.
- Willingness to alter work schedule to accommodate business needs.
- Ability to travel >10%
- Must be able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time.
About You:
As a proactive Project Coordinator, that prides in working in complex and cross functional projects, this role will provide you with not only global exposure but will give you the chance to really make this role your own!
- Associate or bachelor’s degree with course work in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field, 1 – 3 years of full time experience supporting applications in an information systems environment.
- Experience working on cross functional teams, multitasking, and managing time independently with little direction.
- Experience with hardware, peripherals, and their staging.
- Experience working in complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on systems, technologies, business process redesign, and knowledge of technical environments.
- Highly detail oriented, with strong organization and time management skills.
- Strong Collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Effective facilitation of meetings, tracking of tasks, and status reporting
- Technically proficient in key relevant areas (Linux/Unix, Red Hat/Debian, VMware Virtualization). Broad familiarity with Store Technology systems, POS infrastructure, and emerging Store tech areas.
- Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; able to use vendor documentations, online resources, etc. to troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Understand POS system architecture and makeup.
- Able to create documentation that supports multiple platforms and support analysts with varying ranges of technical expertise.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions to meet project deadlines.
