About the Role
We are currently seeking Open Crane Operators for a new project in Kalgoorlie. The position is offered as casual however the roster is flexible, offering a variety of 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1 - flying in and out from Perth WA.
Duties
- Ensure achievement of maintenance goals to maximize plant and equipment availability;
- Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools;
- Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments;
- Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together;
- Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment;
- Operate powered machines that may be manually or computer controlled;
- Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required.
Skills and experience:
Essential Criteria (what's required):
- High Risk Work License - CO ticket preferred
- Valid WA Driver's License - HR/HR-B preferred
- Construction (White) Card
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work well in a team in remote areas
- Strong commitment towards safety and quality
- Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
- Company and customer focused based
- Either has or be prepared to obtain a current Working at Heights ticket (issued within 2 years)
- Either has or be prepared to obtain a current Confined Space ticket (issued within 2 years)
- Forklift and EWP are desirable however not essential
- Ability to pass a medical and D&A screen
