Our opportunity

Due to our large pipeline of work, we are seeking a Project Design Manager to join our Brisbane team for upcoming large residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This opportunity would suit an experienced Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Architect, client-side Project Manager, or Design Manager looking to develop their career with Mirvac.

As Project Design Manager you will be responsible for facilitating effective design delivery across all design disciplines to achieve the best outcomes for the project(s), maximising value and minimising risk. This will involve implementing project and design strategy, plans, procedures, and processes to deliver projects within agreed parameters aligned to Mirvac developments expectations and needs.

Working across all stages of the project’s life cycle, you will deliver effective, efficient, and cohesive communication with design and delivery teams, to achieve project objectives in a timely manner. This will involve stakeholder management, design management, project reviews, reporting, reviewing project and commercial metrics and benchmarking, and ensuring the application of PDM systems and processes. Striving for continuous improvement, you will implement innovative initiatives to improve our systems, processes and project execution, as well as ensure capturing and sharing of lessons learned.

Your point of difference:

• Degree qualified in a relevant field of study, coupled relevant experience in design and project management from either pre-construction or delivery
• Residential, commercial and/or mixed-use project experience is preferably however not essential
• Experience to date will derive from either a main contractor, design consultant, or project management group
• Ability to develop and deliver technical reports, briefs and prepare visual presentations through PowerPoint
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to foster a strong culture in-line with Mirvac’s key values
• Ability to drive a high performing team to deliver projects aligned to project objectives
• Passionate about delivering customer focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate
