Position responsibilities & objectives
WIth a wind farm project at final stages of development, the company is now looking to appoint an experienced and accomplished Project Director to support processes for financial close and project set up, before moving into early works and full construction.
Key objectives
- Form effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders (EPC & OEM, JV partner, state government, community, regulatory, equity partners) before construction and ongoing
- Gain a detailed understanding of key project contracts, highlighting in detail the key risks and critical path
- Bring your own learnings and expertise to fine tune internal project management plans & frameworks as well as systems and processes
- Working across internal & external project stakeholders to drive best practice in safety systems and environmental compliance
- Experience delivering large wind farm projects in Australia or APAC with an intimate understanding of key packages, different contract arrangements (EPC vs split scope) and how to set up and deliver profitable projects
- Broad cross functional skillset across commercial, technical, financial (P&L) and excellent project management principles and foundational knowledge
- Very effective communicator (verbal & written) and able to formulate a clear position with reasoning regarding reporting for project updates, issues and milestones.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders, keeping them informed and detailing how you are managing project risks, schedule and finances
