Job Description
ACCIONA is a leading group for sustainable infrastructure solutions and renewable energy projects around the world.
Our Newcastle team currently have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to assist in the deliver of existing projects and prepare for exciting new projects.
As the Project Engineer you will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, procurement, and quality control on the Belford to Golden Hwy project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide positive leadership to staff, contractors, and key stake holders across the project
- Manage the operational aspects of project delivery to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the project
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems
- Manage cost control for certain aspects of the project to ensure the project meets its performance targets in relation to budget
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role (ideally with bridges, pavements or earthworks)
- Well-developed leadership and management skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
