The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Engineer to join the APA Networks team in Eagle Farm, QLD, Fulltime, for 12 months.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will co-ordinate project technical activities, to assist in the delivery of project team goals and targets across a range of projects associated with the growth of APA Group distribution assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Capital delivery projects in area of schedule, budget, quality and safety as required
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines and project delivery team, as well as external consultants and contractors
  • Contribute to various engineering studies and design reviews
  • Conduct audits to ensure contractor compliance to the mains and services contract.
  • Provide Leadership and Project controls during construction and commissioning

Your background

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications complemented by quality utility, project and/or operational management experience
  • Contract management experience
  • Skills to manage budgets, personnel and operational decisions
  • Change management skills and able to make sound operational decisions
  • Well-developed communication, customer service and negotiation skills

About the Team

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.  

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics.  Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.   We need people who are courageous, nimble and ready to make a positive impact.
