AddressProject Engineer
Queensland Government-owned corporation, Sunwater is planning for the construction of a new dam wall immediately downstream from the existing Paradise Dam on the Burnett River.
The project is a large, multi-year project that will ensure a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region for future generations.
This role is part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, with CPB Contractors / Georgiou appointed as major construction partner and GHD as the ongoing design partner.

About the role.
Based in Fortitude Valley and reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, the Project Engineer will be responsible for:
- Ensure construction-related aspects of the project meet or exceed the required performance targets in relation to time, cost and quality
- Maintain our contractual schedule/program, including productivity units and extension of time
- Engagement and management of subcontractors from tender to scope delivery in a way to embodies our vision to be 'the best people to work with'
- Monitor and report on task productivity, financial outcomes and performing cost control to ensure project targets are optimised
- Provide daily support, team supervision and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company set performance criteria
- Ensure project HSEQ objectives are set, shared and adhered to in order to maintain an exemplary safety culture aligned to the values of 'Safety is My Way'
What you're good at:
- Aside from having relevant tertiary qualifications and similar project experience, you're driven and confident in your management and planning abilities with both contractors/suppliers and project compliance as well as possess high standards in managing safety, quality and environment.
- You will have experience with civil and/or structural engineering principles. Knowledge of and experience in temporary works scope would be highly desirable.
