Position objectives
The Project Engineer will be responsible for:
- Delivery of construction projects through construction contracts with the main focus on civil works.
- Ensuring all projects are delivered to achieve intended outcomes.
- In conjunction with the Project Delivery Team Leader and other senior engineers, supporting various engineering functions performed by the branch.
Qualifications and experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- A degree in Engineering with relevant experience.
- High level computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of road/ drainage/ traffic best practice construction methods.
- A basic working knowledge of building construction.
- Experience in the production of plan drawings, conceptual designs and jobs estimates.
- Working knowledge of surveying procedures associated with engineering projects.
- Ability to prepare contract documentation under direction from the supervisor.
- Experience in site work, project supervision and the production of site inspection reports.
- Experience in contract administration and construction management
- Experience in applying project management and construction management concepts and systems.
- A current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one.
- A current Drivers Licence.
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $90,876 to $98,943 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
