AddressFowlers Asphalting are seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing Asphalt team based throughout Gippsland.
In this role you will support the Operations Manager by taking responsibility for delivery of a portfolio of projects whilst optimising performance and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Assistance in planning, execution, and financial reporting of projects.
- Contract and cost management.
- Site inspections when required.
- Manage and diligently record the traceability of materials, workloads and works complete.
- Completion of safe work method statements, construction procedures, site and management plans, inspection and test plans and relevant permits.
- Cost tracking reporting to Managers
- Provide support to Managers in the planning, execution, and handover of project deliverables.
- Facilitating job cost assessments and aiding in the preparation of tender submissions, including providing accurate pricing and obtaining any relevant quotations required.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project/Construction Management (or another relevant field)
- A solid understanding of civil and pavement construction.
- A successful track record of proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and continuously developing new and existing customer relationships.
- A solid understanding of the preparation and negotiation processes relating to tendering and contract negotiation.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work to deadlines and provide accuracy.
- Understand VicRoads and IDM standards and specifications is desirable.
- Knowledge of the local and wider Gippsland area would be advantageous.
