As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing and managing all the technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy, cost and quality from conception to completion.

This is a 3 month + contract role.
Project located in the Singleton area.
Years of experience:
3-8 years +
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, project team's performance) and report regularly on project status
- Assign responsibilities and mentor the project team
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar field
- Minimum 3-8yrs+ experience delivering civil infrastructure projects (preferably in a Principal Contractor environment)
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- An ability to manage project teams to solve problems, drive health and safety culture and produce quality outcomes
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary projects
- Excellent reporting writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
