Our client is a leader in providing services to the maritime, military and resource sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their professional team.
You will be part of a team dealing with the demolition, destruction, disposal and recycling of oil and gas assets, the company also disposes private, military and government assets. This role will be responsible for planning, maintaining, analysing and reporting on key project performance indicators. Clear communication and interpersonal skills are necessary as direct contact with clients and internal stakeholders is an important aspect of this role.
Highly suited candidates will have deconstruction / demolition industry or major civil project experience. Candidates with Oil and Gas experience are highly regarded.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Managing teams for delivery of projects
- Provide project reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors and suppliers
- Contract Administration and commercial management
- Review and monitor project schedules
- Raise and prepare contract change proposals for client approval
- Administration of export scrap metals involving consignment notes / invoices and debtor management
- Proactively promoting quality, environmental responsibility & safety within the workplace
- Supporting other departments within the company as required
- Trades or Engineering qualification or other similar tertiary qualifications
- Ideally 3 to 5yrs+ experience
- Proven experience as Project Manager in the Deconstruction / demolition industry
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Excellent problem-solving skills to define, investigate and draw effective conclusions
- Ability to prioritize work deadlines in an ever changing setting
- Strong ability to develop technical documents, manuals and drawings
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project and time management skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines
