On behalf of our client, we are advertising. Nukote Australia Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled Project Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. Project engineers are in charge of the logistics and utilisation of personnel, facilities, equipment and materials for various projects within the group, working under the NXT Coatings division.
Key duties include:
1. Liaise with and review potential clients ahead of proposed contracting opportunities to effectively promote the Company and secure client interest.
2. Ensuring day to day operations are managed accordingly – Ordering of materials, equipment, resource allocations etc. Recommend improvement of such operations as appropriate.
3. Developing labour utilisation metrics
4. Ensuring work is done in accordance with defined operational processes and procedures
5. Organizing equipment and material movements and delivery in accordance with project plan
6. Organizing timely maintenance of equipment.
7. Monitoring and inspecting work sites for optimum performance is maintained
8. Preparation of Work Pack, which may include (minimum) Scope of Work document, Risk management document (JHA, products SDS, etc.) and QA/QC documents (ITP, Coating Inspection Reports, Completion Certificate, products TDS, etc.), Project Timesheets (Site Dockets).
9. Creation of job including budgeting in Procore.
10. Creating and maintaining VOs and VO registers including follow up for approvals.
11. Assisting Supervisors to troubleshoot and ensuring the safe operation of plant and equipment in accordance with engineering principles and safety regulations
12. Ensuring both they and the team they lead, operates in the safest and most professional manner
13. Supervision, management and mentoring of work crew and contractors in conjunction with the Operations Manager
14. Reporting all incidents and managing the company’s responses on site
Skills/Experience & Qualification
- Relevant Tertiary engineering qualifications
- Previous experience as Project Engineer desirable
