Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Engineer / Junior Project Engineer. In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the Project Manager and ensuring the smooth execution and delivery of projects including running your own projects as needed, managing client relationships, and coordinating various aspects of project delivery. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and pay close attention to schedules and specifications will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Calculations associated with pump hydraulics
• Pump selections and analysis
• Reviewing of project plans and technical data
• Project tendering and estimating
• Apply your understanding of government standards, specifications and process
• Completing Quality documentation such as ITP’s, Commissioning Plans, Project Programs, Quality management plans
• Completing WHS documentation such as Safe Work Method Statements, Safety Plans and Traffic Management Plans.
• Project planning and programming via Microsoft Project
• Attend site management meetings
• Management of site-specific documentation
• Maintaining good communication with customers during project duration
• Compiling project manuals
• Commissioning activities with the projects team upon project completion
• Completing Environmental Plans and associated management documents
• Site project management roles, e.g. logistics & crane organisation
• Assist with determining project claim amounts and liaise with customers
• Assist with project labour planning
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager, preferably in a similar industry or project-based environment would be an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Previous experience in the water/civil infrastructure project market would be an advantage but is not essential.
