The role
Working within our Operations South Department, we are looking for a qualified engineer to join the team. The Project Engineer is a crucial role within our Project delivery team and is accountable for the delivery of all internal operations projects. Working with internal stakeholders to deliver a high level of customer service to the local community.
What you'll bring
- Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and acts within the civil industry
- Strong interpersonal skills both with internal and external stakeholders
- A willingness to travel around the Local Government Area (Stroud, Bulahdelah, Tea Gardens and Forster/Tuncurry)

Salary: Commencing salary circa $88,700 p.a. plus superannuation.
A vehicle arrangement will be made with the successful candidate for this role. MCC’s vehicle arrangements provide you with two options:
- The payment of a Vehicle Allowance equating to approximately $9,000 p/a; or
- A Leaseback Vehicle whereby Council provides you with a vehicle for an annual fee calculated as 20% of the gross purchase price. This is a fully maintained vehicle for both business and full private use with no additional expenses in normal use.
Location: This position will be based at our Tuncurry Works depot located on Grey Gum Road, Tuncurry. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites within the Operations South Department and across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
