The opportunity:
We are looking for a Project Finance Specialist, ideally with more than 5 years of experience, to join our Finance team based in Adelaide.
The role will be based in our Adelaide office with the option to work from home 2 days a week (if desired). You will support project teams locally and nationally.
This is a pivotal role in which you will build relationships with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Corporate Finance whilst being part of a large group of like-minded professionals across Australia.
You will:
- Make project accounting recommendations throughout the Project Lifecycle
- Monitor project budgets and investigate any variances.
- Interpret financial information to support project management and commercial decisions.
- Champion data integrity and ensure accurate financial information is recorded in the ERP.
- Assist with subcontractor engagements.
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients.
- Manage multiple projects of varying values at any given time.
- Attend project-related meetings to inform the team regarding the status of project financials.
- Articulating problem projects and following up on any identified actions as discussed

Some of your experience will include:
- Must have previous experience working in the Project Finance accounting space, in an engineering consulting environment.
- Tertiary qualifications are highly regarded.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient MS Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and pick up new tasks quickly.
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, who is consultative, and able to prioritise their work. The successful candidate will be a team player, and able to work with a range of stakeholders and the team.
Whilst you will ideally have previous Project Finance experience, we're also open to talking to a commercially savvy accountant who wants to influence the business to create value or a contract administrator with engineering/construction experience keen to transition to finance.
