We are now seeking an experienced Project Geologist to join the expanding team at the Norseman Gold Project. The successful candidates will be part of the delineation and development of new underground mines within the high grade Norseman Goldfield.

About the role
The Project Geologist (Mine Development) is responsible for managing allocated exploration programs and projects including generation and testing of exploration targets, collection and collation of technical data including mapping, sampling and diamond core logging. Through analysis and interpretation of this data, the Project Geologist provides geological technical support to evaluate greenfield, near mined and res mining and production. These tasks are to be carried out in a safe manner at all times and follow PNRS Company Safety, Health and Environment Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Duties also include
- Maintain operational direction as set by the Mine manager and Geology Manager, of the mining and geological process.
- Ensure geological operational capability and performance is maintained through supervision of personnel;
- Manage performance indicators for the exploration and geological activities, in line with the annual, quarterly plans; monitoring and managing performance accordingly.
- Manage exploration drilling and resource development drilling when required to establish the limits of the orebody within approved budget estimates.
- Ensure compilation of geological, grade control and resource models.
- Assist in the preparation of regular management updates and cost reports on the progress of geological and mining activities.
- Manage general tenement expenditure and commitments.
- Ensure the health and safety of all staff involved in Mining operations in compliance with company standards.
About You
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Applied Science (BAppSc) majoring in geology
- Significant experience in exploration projects and mining operations experience.
- Experience working with gold mineralisation systems desirable
- Hands-on supervisory leader
- Proficient in Leapfrog software.
- Datamine and Surpac experience desirable.
- Manual Driver License
- National Police Clearance
New Camp
The project is serviced by a new accommodation village situated within the Norseman township with full messing facilities and a well-equipped gymnasium. Employees will also have access to the town facilities and services, providing the best of both worlds while on site.
About the Project
The Norseman Gold Project is an exciting new development that includes a new 1 million tonne per annum processing plant and development of multiple large open pits and underground mines. A combination of new mines, cutbacks and underground mine extensions is now operational. The project is 725km East of Perth and 200km south of Kalgoorlie. Employees travel to site on a dedicated and direct 1hr charter flight.
Existing mine life is approaching 10 years. Ongoing organic growth is expected with six drill rigs focussed on Ore Reserve growth currently operating.
